Cookie Policy

This page lists — concretely, not generically — the cookies and similar browser storage that GP.TOOLS actually uses today. If we add a new technology later (for example advertising), we will update this page first.
1. Cookies we set
The site sets exactly one cookie, and only for the site administrator:
- gp_admin_session — essential sign-in cookie for the admin area. Http-only, lasts 8 hours. Ordinary visitors never receive this cookie.
We do not set tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies for visitors.
2. Local storage used by features
Instead of cookies, features keep a few items in your browser’s local storage, on your device:
- Chat session — a random access token and the display name you entered for “Chat with Admin”, so you can return to your own conversation. It contains no password and cannot open anyone else’s chat.
- Friend chat — for “Chat with Friends”, your identity token and chat code are kept in local storage, and the conversations themselves are kept in your browser’s local database (IndexedDB) as the permanent copy on your device. You can delete a conversation’s local copy from inside the chat; the server’s recovery copy deletes itself after 30 days.
- Preferences — your language choice, the site-staff character you picked, and its sound on/off setting.
- Anonymous visitor ID — a random ID used for our first-party usage statistics (which tools are used, searches, likes) and to remember your likes and favorites. It is not linked to your name or email.
- Feature data — where a tool or game offers it, things like game results or recent items, kept on your device.
None of this storage is used to build an advertising profile.
3. Analytics
Usage statistics are first-party and stored on our own server (see the Privacy Policy). We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics cookie.
4. Third parties
- YouTube. If you play a video in the Music Player app, it is embedded from YouTube and Google may set its own cookies under Google’s policies. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you choose to play a video.
- Weather. Forecast requests go to Open-Meteo; we do not set or read cookies for weather.
- Advertising. Advertising is not active in the current version of the site, so no advertising cookies are used. If advertising is enabled in the future, this page will list the partners and the cookies they use.
5. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Clearing this site’s data signs out the administrator, resets your chat session (your next visit starts a new conversation), and removes your saved preferences and visitor ID — a fresh one is created on your next visit.
